As part of the RCA Design Products MA, we were asked to design a stool using only one tool. My chosen tool was the metal bending brake, and after a series of tests and experimentation I arrived at a process of strengthening thin sheet metal through repeated hemming. The result is a lightweight stool made from a single 1×1meter sheet of 1mm-thick aluminum.
